A former professional bull rider, he constantly traveled the nation as a PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and PRCA Rodeo Member. With huge live crowds and television exposure at a professional level, Jay found that fans would notice him and follow his progress. This support has now carried over into his country music career. Fan support is a huge factor in Jay's music and he strives to make new fans on a day to day basis and treat them like family.
